PARTITIONS

Partitions are logically separated sections of a secured facility that are armed at different times or under different circumstances than the other partitions in that facility. In the context of the system, a partition is defined by the inputs, outputs, keypads, and users assigned to it. Partitions can be separate sections or, optionally, have common areas.

Enabling Partitioning

The alarm system can be divided into 8 independent partitions. To enable partitioning, go to the installer menu, select the desired partition, and set the “Active” option to YES.

Note

If you divide the system into several partitions and later disable some of them, you must remove or uncheck all zones that were originally assigned to those partitions. To do this, first enable these partitions in the PulsON Alarm Configurator, uncheck the selected zones assigned to those partitions, and then disable the unused partitions again. This is necessary for the active partitions to function properly.

Selecting a Communication Path

Each partition can send alarm signals to one or more monitoring stations (up to 8). To enable monitoring to a monitoring station, select the MS (monitoring station) to which alarm signals are to be sent and configure the connection to the station in the Communication-Monitoring section.

Input/Output Times

Entry Time 1

The entry time for Input 1 is a parameter closely linked to the Delayed 1 zone and defines the time the system user has to enter the premises (disarm the system). If the entry time expires without the system being disarmed, an alarm will be generated.

Entry Time 2

Entry Time 2 is a parameter closely associated with the Delay 2 zone and defines the time the system user has to enter the premises (disarm the system). If the entry time expires without the system being disarmed, an alarm will be triggered.

Exit Time 1

A parameter specifying the time the user has to exit the premises. The exit time is assigned to the keypad.

Exit Time 2

A parameter specifying the time a user has to exit the premises. The exit time is assigned to the keypad.

Special exit time

The exit time counted down when a key-type zone or a mobile app is used to arm the system.
