COMMUNICATION

GSM

GPRS

To enable communication via the cellular network, you must configure the APN access point. The default APN, username, and APN password for most carriers is “internet.”

If you are not using GSM communication, check the “GSM Communication Disabled” checkbox.

SIM

In the SIM section, you can enter the SIM card’s PIN. If you want the card to work without requiring a PIN, disable this option on the SIM card using an external device (cell phone), insert the prepared card into the control panel’s slot, and do not enter any values in the “SIM Card PIN” field in the program.

TCP/IP

IP Settings

Selecting the transmission medium:

  • Ethernet
  • Wi-Fi

If you select the Wi-Fi option, enter the network name and password in the SSID and Wi-Fi Password sections

Connection Type

  • DHCP Enabled: If this option is enabled, the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS will be automatically assigned by the DHCP server.
  • IP: Enter the current IP address of the control panel.
  • Subnet Mask: Enter the current subnet mask.
  • Gateway: Enter the default gateway.
  • DNS1: Enter the primary DNS server.
  • DNS2: Enter the secondary DNS server.

Connection Information

The Internet connection parameters for 8- and 10-inch IP tablet keypads are shown below.

  • Connection Status: GPRS, TCP/IP, no connection.
  • MAC: The keypad’s MAC address.
  • IP: The tablet keypad’s current IP address.
  • Subnet Mask: The current subnet mask.
  • Gateway: The default gateway.

Other Settings

Parameter Description Range / Default
Integration Key Integration key for connecting to the 8- and 10-inch IP tablet keypads. Default: Pulson123!
LAN Encryption Enable encryption when connecting the 8- and 10-inch IP tablet keypads. Default: YES
UDP Port UDP port for communication with the tablet keypad. Default: 5000
TCP Port TCP port for communication with the tablet keypad. Default: 5001
Cameras – Login User login for connecting IP cameras via the tablet keypad. Default: admin
Cameras – Password User password for connecting IP cameras via the tablet keypad. Default: admin123!

Monitoring

Name

Name of the monitoring station.

Channel

Selection of the transmission channel to establish a connection with the alarm monitoring station.

Note

We recommend using GPRS as the primary transmission channel to the monitoring station. It is a stable medium—and, very importantly, its power is supplied by the control panel’s backup power source (battery). Due to the instability of Wi-Fi, we do not recommend this channel for monitoring. Wi-Fi may only be used as a backup in the event of a GSM network failure. In such cases, select the option “Two communication channels—GPRS priority, LAN/Wi-Fi backup.” To enhance security, network devices outside the control panel should also have power backup via a UPS.

Connection Type Description
GPRS Only Single communication channel – always GPRS
LAN (Wi-Fi) Single communication channel – always LAN/Wi-Fi
SMS Single communication channel – always SMS
LAN (Wi-Fi)/GPRS Two communication channels:
• Primary: LAN/Wi-Fi
• Fallback: GPRS
GPRS/LAN (Wi-Fi) Two communication channels:
• Primary: GPRS
• Backup: LAN/Wi-Fi
LAN (Wi-Fi)/GPRS/SMS Three communication channels:
• Primary: LAN/Wi-Fi
• Backup 1: GPRS
• Backup 2: SMS
GPRS/LAN (Wi-Fi)/SMS Three communication channels:
• Primary: GPRS
• Backup 1: LAN/Wi-Fi
• Backup 2: SMS

Kissoff Time

The time the control panel waits for confirmation that the receiver has acknowledged the alarm signal.

Number of Attempts

The number of communication attempts made if no confirmation signal is received from the receiver.

Primary IP

The IP address of the alarm monitoring station’s receiver.

Port

Port of the primary receiver.

Backup IP

The IP address of the alarm monitoring station receiver used if the primary receiver is unavailable.

Port

Port of the backup receiver.

Protocol

Select the communication protocol for the monitoring station: Contact ID, SIA, KronosStandardProtocol, or PulsonProtocol.

Encryption

Enter the encryption key for communication with the station using the KronosStandardProtocol standard; the key must be 2 to 8 characters long.

Partition 1 to 8 – Facility Number

Enter the facility number according to the selected communication format.

Phone Number for SMS Communication

Enter this if you are using SMS reporting codes

Type

Select the communication protocol: TCP or UDP.

Events

Select the events that will be reported to the specified monitoring station.

Cloud

Connection Type

Select the connection method to be used to establish communication with the cloud server:

Connection Type Description
TCP/IP Only Communication with the cloud will be established only via the Ethernet/Wi-Fi module
GPRS Only Communication with the cloud will be established only via GPRS
IP/GPRS Communication will be established primarily via the Ethernet/Wi-Fi module
GPRS/IP Communication will be established primarily via the GPRS module

Cloud Address

To use the mobile app, you must correctly configure the cloud settings by entering the address server.pulsonalarm.pl on port 8883.

Cloud Port The port used to connect to the cloud server.

SMS Notifications

SMS notifications are intended to inform the user when a specific event occurs in the alarm system.

Phone Number

The phone number of the person to receive SMS notifications. There is no need to include the country code.

Assigning to a Partition

Specify which partition the user should receive event notifications from.

Event Groups

  • Arming – SMS notifications about partition arming.
  • Disarming – SMS notifications about partition disarming.
  • Alarms – SMS notifications about alarms in partitions.
  • Tampering – SMS notifications about system tampering.
  • Troubles – SMS notifications about system troubles.

Communication Options

Periodic Transmission Test

This parameter specifies the interval at which a transmission test to the SM will be performed, not the specific time of day. The time is counted from the moment the control panel is started or restarted. For example: if the parameter is set to 23:59 and the control panel is started at 14:00, the transmission test will be sent to the monitoring station the next day at 13:59.

Loading Default Reporting Codes

Loading default reporting codes It is recommended to load the default reporting codes each time the zone types are changed.
